Betsey  Mulloy,  a  native Texan,  now  lives in Reston, VA.  Throughout a career  in  writing,  teaching, and leading retreats, she continued art studies.  She pursued art  studies  at  Stephens  College,  the  University  of  Missouri,  the  Art League  of Alexandria, VA, Washington, DC’s Corcoran School of Art, and private classes in portraiture and iconography.  She enjoys using a variety of media, including oil, acrylic and pastel.

 

Betsey has been on several mission trips to Africa and Central and Latin America and has tried to express the beauty of these countries and their people in her art; the sales of her paintings and cards help to support a variety of projects in Kenya, Uganda, and Honduras.
