Artist Statement

"Having grown up near the water in Massachusetts, the colors and serenity of coastal New England are often reflected in my paintings. I spent my childhood summers on Cuttyhunk Island, MA where I swam, played with friends and spent countless hours rowing in the harbor in "Blue Jay", a tiny rowboat my father built for me out of a single sheet of plywood. Rowboats and ocean imagery are a part of my artistic vocabulary, and evoke happy memories
for me."
